Part (ii) Indexed trend in the new Member States 1990-2005

Notes:

The figure for 2005 is provisional.

Index: 1996 = 100. Numbers of cases per country per year are presented in Table DRD-2 part(ii) in the 2006 statistical bulletin.It is important to note that the Czech Republic, Estonia and Poland account for a substantial proportion of victims aged less than 25.

Czech Republic did not provide data for 1996 to 2000, Estonia for 2004-2005, Cyprus and Slovakia for 1996 to 2003, Hungary for 2002, Poland for 2004-2005 and Romania for 1996-2000. A computation method, defined by the EMCDDA (2001), has been used to correct this situation.
