 (1) The number of AIDS deaths refers to 2003, as the most recent year with information for more Member States in Eurostat. For Belgium data refer to 1997. For Czech Republic and Denmark, data refer to 2001. For Slovakia data, refer to 2002. For the United Kingdom, the number of AIDS deaths related to drug injection were taken directly from the UK National report (taken from the Health Protection Agency), the figure corresponds to 2004.
