 Others substances include hypnotics and sedatives, volatile substances, other stimulants and other substances.     

 (1) Data on amphetamines include amphetamines and ecstasy, % of currently IV users refers to % of IV use of main drug. 

 (2) Last data available refer to 2005. 

 (3) Until 2004 ‘all clients’ reported clients continuing in or entering treatment in reported year; since 2005 data are conformant with the TDI protocol. 

 (4) Data by gender refer to first treatments. 

 (5) Up to 2005 data only refer to clients in substitution treatment, using opioids as primary drug. Since 2006, new data collection has been conducted. 

 (6) Last data available refer to 2003. Data on amphetamines include amphetamines and ecstasy. 

 (7) % currently injecting any drug refers to % currently injecting their main drug. 

 (8) Last data available refer to 2004. It includes data for outpatient clients and clients treated in prison. Data for outpatient clients was validated, however data collection for prison clients was still in the process of development, thus figures are underestimated. With effect from next year the process of data validation for prison clients will be implemented.  

 (9) Data relate to the period from 1 April 2005 to 31 March 2006 for the UK.
