Part (ii) Changes between 2003 and 2005

Notes

In Cyprus and Slovakia, the first year with available data is 2004.

For Portugal, data include all cases with post mortem analysis positive for any drug of abuse, which is likely to produce an overestimate compared to selection D.

Number of cases per country per year are presented in Table DRD-2.

In some countries, the ‘national definitions’ include a limited number of cases of deaths indirectly related to drug use. See Methodological notes in the Statistical bulletin.
