Cannabis users are defined as students who have used cannabis in the past month.
Binge alcohol use is defined as 5+ drinks in a row during last 30 days.
Averages are based on 19 Member States — Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Sweden, UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Norway, Croatia and Turkey.
Figures for Germany are based on 6 regions only — Bavaria, Brandenburg, Berlin, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Thuringia.
Figures for Turkey are based on one major city in each of 6 different regions (Adana, Ankara, Diyarbakir, Istanbul, Izmir and Samsun).
