Notes:

Data since 2002 provided by ECDC-WHO/Europe, data before 2002 provided by EuroHIV.

* Estonia - Rate per million population in 2002 was 516.

Data reported by end of 2007.

Portugal: HIV reporting system modified in 2000: data for 2000 are available but include many cases diagnosed in previous years; data prior to 2000 not available by year or by transmission group.

Estonia: Data not available by transmission group for adult cases after 2002, numbers of IDU reported separately.
