Notes:

Drug specific percentages are of clients whose primary drug and usual route of administration is known. Total considers all the injection cases regardless of the primary drug being known or not.

Injecting as a route of administration is not reported for ecstasy, cannabis and other drugs.

When proportion of clients by main drug is 0, ‘% of injectors’ is blank. If no data is available, the symbol ":" is used.

 (1) Last data available refer to 2005.

 (2) Most of injection cases have been reported under unknown primary drug.

 (3) Data on amphetamines refer to stimulants in general. Data on route of administration refer to primary and non primary drugs.

 (4) Last data available refer to 2006.

 (5) Until 2004, ‘all clients’ reported clients continuing in or entering treatment in reported year; 2005 data are conformant with the TDI protocol.

 (6) Data refer only to inpatient centres for which information on all clients have been reported.

 (7) Data on amphetamines include amphetamines and ecstasy.

 (8) Last data available refer to 2006.

 (9) Up to 2005 data only refer to clients in substitution treatment, using opioids as primary drug. Since 2006, data are based on the new DOKLI data collection system.

 (10) No data available.

 (11) Data only available for new clients.

 (12) Data relate to 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007
