Figure DLO-2. Offence types in reports for drug law offences in Europe, 2007 or 2008

Notes:

Data were not available for Denmark, Hungary, Malta, Turkey and Norway.

Data between brackets refer to the number of reports for drug law offences.

The general term 'reports for drug law offences' is used, since definitions and study units differ widely between countries. For definitions of the term 'reports for drug law offences', please refer to Drug law offences — methods and definitions.

For the Netherlands, the category "Other type of offences" contains cases of possession of drugs: cases in which the drugs are assumed to be for own use and cases in which supply cannot be charged. The available data do not allow a subclassification of these cases. Moreover the category contains a small group of drug law offences of which the character is unknown.
