Notes:

The population (15–64) size is estimated at 1 January 2009, and applied to January–December TDI data to obtain rates per 100 000. See ‘Sources’.

Percentages of cases covered refers to all treatment episodes/cases. When more than one report has been submitted the percentages of cases covered is back calculated on the basis of all clients entering treatment cases.

 (1) For drug clients, 2005 data are reported. 86% of clients cannot be classified as having been previously treated or not.

 (2) 77% units coverage can be estimated as only outpatient and inpatient units are reported. No data is available for other types of treatment centre.

 (3) For drug clients, 2007 data are reported,

 (4) Excluding the centres that mainly deal with prevention, the units coverage can be estimated 100%

 (5) Since there is an overlap between treatment centre types (some units report cases to more than one treatment centre type), the total coverage cannot be calculated.

 (6) For drug clients, 2006 data are reported.

 (7) For drug clients, 2007 data are reported.
