Figure DRD-10. Mean age of drug-induced deaths in EU Member States, last year with available data

Notes:

The figure represents data from countries that reported mean age of victims in most recent years.

Information based on ‘national definitions’ as presented in Table DRD-1.

The countries are ordered according to overall average age at death. Note that the mean ages of deaths are based on less than 20 deaths for Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg and Malta. Spain and Greece did not provide information concerning mean age.

For the Czech Republic, EMCDDA Selection D was used instead of the national definition. National definition includes also poisoning by psychoactive medicines, which accounts for most cases (176 cases out of 225).
