Data reported by October 2010.

Data are not comparable to those reported in previous years as cases were then reported by year of report. Data by year of diagnosis are closer to true trends in infection however some reporting delay in the most recent years is likely (data not adjusted)

(9) Data not available by transmission group for adult cases after 2002, numbers of IDU reported separately. From 1993 to 2006 data are by year of notification.

(10) HIV case reports by year of diagnosis. New HIV reporting system started in 2002; 2002 data include many cases diagnosed in previous years.
