The table includes the number of all individual clients and the number of client contacts using NSP specialist fixed agencies in the reporting year.

Where data are not available, the table entry is left empty.

(1) Data represents only NSP clients/contacts in low-threshold facilities. All clients/contacts of low treshold facilities were 30.000/365.000 in 2009 and 32.374/396.841 in 2010.

(2) Additional 3310 clients were reported for outreach NSP programmes (55% coverage).

(3) Data include clients from the NSP specialist agency in Bratislava as well as low threshold agencies in the country.

(4) Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI) published its annual review for 2009 in October 2010: needle-exchange service recorded just under 30,000 client visits in 2009, a decrease of some 10,000 on 2008 figure (http://www.drugsandalcohol.ie/14710/).
