Notes:

 Numbers are rounded to the nearest kg except for quantities less than 1 kg where more precise information is provided when available.   

 (1) In 1996, 1998 and 2003 data include both ecstasy and amphetamine seized; see Table SZR-14 for tablets additionally seized in 1996 and 1998. 511 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 1997; 22090 in 1999; and 18397 in 2000.   

 (2) Accurate data are not available before 2002 due to double counting of seizures by police and customs reports. 56 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2005.   

 (3) 549 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2004.    

 (4) In 1995: the number of seizures based on offences; since 1996: the numbers of seizures based on police register. Data include both seizures of amphetamine and methamphetamine.   

 (5) 10 amphetamines tablets were also seized in 2000; 37 in 2001; 1355 in 2002; 1567 in 2003; and 214 in 2005.   

 (6) All seizures are included (police, coastguard and customs). Amphetamine tablets were also seized in 1998, 30109 in 2000 and 8 in 2001.

Both 2004 and 2005 data are based on seizures made only by some police forces: they are not comparable between them, nor with previous years.   

 (15) 26 amphetamines tablets were also seized in 1997; 4 in 1998; 37 in 1999; 18 in 2000; 25 in 2001; 34 in 2002; 125 in 2003; 32 in 2004 and 17 tablets and 35 capsules in 2005.   

 (16) 89 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2001; 256 in 2002 and 218 in 2003.    

 (17) Before 2001, data include both amphetamine and methamphetamine seizures. 5 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2001; 6 in 2002; and 3 in 2003.    

 (18) Before 2001, data include both amphetamine and methamphetamine seizures. Fenmetrazin is included in amphetamine seizures. 284 amphetamines tablets were also seized in 2000; 782 in 2001; and 92 in 2002.   

 (19) Data refer to seizures made by the Customs and the National Service for Combating Organized Crime (NACOC) from the Ministry of Interior. 660 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2001; 135444 in 2002; and 118201 in 2003.   

 (20) 133517 amphetamine tablets were also seized in 2002; 93 in 2004; and 3701 in 2005.   

 (21) 1089989 amphetamine tablets were seized in 2001; 8576884 in 2002; 5375217 in 2003; 9493470 in 2004; 6404923 in 2005.   

 (22) Up until 2003 the amount of large seizures only is reported; from 2004 all seizures are reported.
