Notes:

The population (15–64) size is estimated at 1 January 2010, and applied to January–December TDI data to obtain rates per 100 000. See ‘Sources’.

Percentages of cases covered refers to all treatment episodes/cases. When more than one report has been submitted the percentages of cases covered is back calculated on the basis of all clients entering treatment cases.

 (1) Data by age not available.

 (2) Since there is an overlap between treatment centre types (some units report cases to more than one treatment centre type), the total coverage cannot be calculated.

 (3) Data presented are from two different monitoring systems (Pilot project for TDI monitoring and Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology - aggregated data). Caution must be made when interpreting the data as double counting could not be avoid.

 (4) Data for % of cases covered are not available for Treatment Units in Prison. Percentages refer to Outpatient and Inpatient units.
